For 30 years Hamilton Engineering, Inc. (Houston, TX), founded by Lacy Hamilton has specialized in the planning and supervision of petroleum related drilling, completion, and well workovers in nearly every oil producing state in the United States and over twenty foreign countries. Hamilton’s expertise in performing detailed well planning offers the key to low cost results in each phase of drilling program execution.  Today, it is a full-service firm offering drilling, fluids management, completion, production, reservoir engineering and geoscience consulting and full-time placement services.

Our Drilling Consultants have extensive experience across a wide array of specialized applications, including deepwater drilling, complex wells, offshore floaters, drillships, jack-ups, platform rigs, water flood systems, and drilling in highly faulted, folded and fractured areas.

Our Production Consultants are experienced in tubing design; fracture and acid program design; workover identification, design and planning; nodal analysis and IPM; field optimization; artificial lift design; surface equipment design; and field implementation and surveillance.

Our Reservoir Engineering and Geoscience Consultants have extensive experience in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Their wide experiences include wellsite and operations geology, geological and geophysical analysis, reservoir and production optimization, economic evaluation, A&D, reserve audits, and nodal analysis.

Most of Hamilton’s Consultants are former management level employees from large integrated oil and gas companies, drilling contractors and oilfield service companies.
